Lawro vs The Bookies: 6/5/2011

Hypothetical Lawro

Two correct scores meant hypothetical Lawro got the upper hand last week. With only a few rounds to go can he turn a profit this season?

Every Friday Mark Lawrenson attempts to predict the scores of the weekend’s Premier League or FA Cup games. But is he better than the bookmakers?

Each week we will be putting a hypothetical £1 on Lawrenson’s correct score predictions at the best available odds. The theory being that if he ends up in profit, he is better than bookmakers at predicting football results.

Last week he got two correct scores, the Chelsea v Tottenham game and the Birmingham v Wolves encounter. Overall he finished £5.50 up but was one goal away in six of his other predictions. Bad luck hypothetical Lawro.
