Lawro vs The Bookies: 20/5/2011

Hypothetical Lawro

It is the final weekend and hypothetical Lawro needs at least three winners to give him a chance of beating the bookies.

Every Friday Mark Lawrenson attempts to predict the scores of the weekend’s Premier League or FA Cup games. But is he better than the bookmakers?

Each week we will be putting a hypothetical £1 on Lawrenson’s correct score predictions at the best available odds. The theory being that if he ends up in profit, he is better than bookmakers at predicting football results.

Hypothetical Lawro was a bit like Birmingham last week, putting in his worst performance of the season at exactly the wrong time. He has to win on Sunday to have any chance of overhauling the bookmakers. Last week he finished £10 down.
