Scots Ready To Humble Auld Enemy
The Tartan Army haven't been so capable of putting the English in their place for many a year.
With Scotland resurgent, England’s trip to Celtic Park looks like being by far Roy Hodgson’s toughest challenge since the World Cup.
The hosts have won their last three competitive outings on home territory without conceding a goal and also commendably drew in Poland recently and ran Germany very close. For the first time in a very long time, Scotland are a genuine force to be reckoned with.
The Three Lions are likely to field a fairly inexperienced side which probably means that recent solid England results can probably be disregarded here. This will be the most competitive ‘friendly’ imaginable and quite simply the Tartan Army will probably want it more.
The home win is appealing at 11/4 (WilliamHill) but I would actually favour Scotland to win 1-0 at 9/1 with Paddy Power who will refund losing correct score predictions if the match ends as a draw - a distinct possibility.
That was the score when Scotland beat the Republic of Ireland on Friday and Georgia last month.
