Euro 2020: Wales v Denmark Tip

The stats make daunting reading for Wales, with Denmark having more than double the number of shots so far in the competition. However, they are yet to keep a clean sheet.

Denmark may have become the neutral’s choice across the continent because of Christian Eriksen, but they are also a great watch in general. They lead the tournament for attempts on goal (61) and I’m backing them to win with both teams to score at best odds of 4/1 with Bet365.

Their 4-1 victory over Russia was a masterclass in the power of momentum, and they can carry that forward to Amsterdam. Only an inspired Kevin De Bruyne had denied the Scandinavians against Belgium but make no mistake, this team are a threat against anyone.

Sadly, it’s hard to feel quite the same way about Wales who were fortunate to draw with Switzerland, and comfortably beaten by Italy. They saved their best for Turkey, but it’s hard to read too much into that given the poverty of the opponents.

The Danes have conceded in every game, and the likes of Bale, Ramsey, James and Moore can produce a moment. But it probably won’t be enough to extend the Dragons’ fairytale.
