After a couple of injury-hit seasons Slip Sliding Away bounced back to form 22 days ago and he can double up over course and distance in the 4.50 Goodwood.

The six-year-old is somewhat of a course specialist with his Goodwood record of 11291, coming on a variety of ground.

Last time out he had Tidentime, Bravo Echo and Johnny Castle behind him and I don’t think a 4lbs hike in the weights is going to make a difference.

In a slowly run race, Slip Sliding Away came from practically last to first, running the last 2f much quicker than any of his rivals. Delivered later, in a more strongly run race he can be seen to even better effect.
