Goals Galore Acca

Leaky defences all-round could lead to a goal feast in three Premier League matches.

Several evenly matched teams meet this weekend therefore I have changed tact and I am backing goals, regardless of the result. Using Betfred’s enhanced Goals Galore coupon I’m predicting both teams to score in the following matches:
Newcastle v Reading
Wigan v Sunderland
West Brom v Aston Villa
An accumulator on all three pays 4/1 (Betfred).

Newcastle v Reading
Two of the league’s worst defences go head to head on Saturday. Newcastle have lost the defensive solidity they showed last season, conceding 14 more goals than this time last year. Reading are equally flaky at the back, with the joint worst defensive record in the league. Expect goals to be flying in at both ends.

Wigan v Sunderland
Sat precariously above the drop zone, Wigan need to get something out of the match, but they will have to do it without defensive lynchpin Ivan Ramis. The Spaniard is out injured for the rest of the season and is a big loss. When he plays, Wigan concede on average 1.74 goals per game, without him it rises to 2 goals per game. Roberto Martinez will know his team needs to attack, with his defence unlikely to keep a clean sheet.

West Brom v Aston Villa
Aston Villa’s defence looks in disarray and having conceded 18 goals in their last five matches, it is difficult to expect a quick turnaround. On the plus side they have Christian Benteke who has looked a goal-threat all season.

After a strong start, West Brom have reverted to type and performed like a mid-table team, conceding 9 goals in their last five matches. Expect attack to dominate defence, in what could be an open and entertaining derby game.

Back both teams to score in all three matches on Betfred’s Goals Galore coupon at a best price of 4/1.
