Ipswich are a very good side at their level but Southampton are equally good in their division - the Premier League.
It would be easy to get seduced by odds of 15/4 (Bet365) on Ipswich winning this replay because the Tractor Boys are a very decent Championship outfit.
However, Southampton are a top level Premier League side, deservedly third in the table, and just as importantly Ronald Koeman is taking this competition seriously, declaring that it’s ‘his dream’ to lead the side out in a final.
The Saints will play something close to their best side and that should ensure that the defence remains solid. They have just beaten Arsenal and Manchester Utd in consecutive league games without conceding a goal. They were also dominant in the fixture at Portman Road but couldn’t find a winner.
