Conditions are perfect for the Seagulls who can rotate their squad, in particular their strikers, to great effect for the FA Cup. Their League 2 visitors have poor form and injury problems.
The lowest rank side left in the FA Cup is Coventry, but I’m afraid the conditions look all wrong for a potential upset.
When the Sky Blues eliminated Stoke in Round 3 the situation was very different. At home to a side in awful form, Mark Robins’ boys were in the automatic promotion spots after 4 wins in 5 in League 2.
On Saturday they are away, and have slid all the way down to 9th in the table off the back of 3 straight league defeats.
To make matters worse Brighton have had a good couple of weeks in the top flight and Chris Hughton has the luxury of his record signing, Locadia, to unleash while returning favourite Ulloa is also keen for minutes.
Everything points to a relative stroll for the Seagulls. Back Brighton to lead at Half Time and Full Time at best odds of 19/20 with Ladbrokes. A considerable upgrade on the 1/3 for the straight home win.
