FA Cup Final: Anytime Goalscorer Tip

Lampard has been among the goals as ever this season.

This England midfielder has scored more FA Cup goals than anyone else in the country since 2006-07.

With the strikers on both sides inevitably hogging most of the pre-match headlines, it’s easy to forget that none of them have scored more Premier League goals this season than midfielder Frank Lampard.

The Chelsea star has struck 11 times in the top flight, a total only matched by Luis Suarez after a hat-trick last weekend. The Uruguayan shares favouritism with Drogba (5 league goals) and Torres (6 league goals) in the anytime goalscorer betting - all three are a best price of 11/4 with Sportingbet. But Lampard must be the pick of the bunch at 7/2 with the same firm.

The 33-year-old has 16 goals in all competitions which is comfortably the highest tally at the London club. Torres and Drogba have 11 apiece, and although both look to be back on decent form, Di Matteo is likely to pick one over the other in his starting line-up. They therefore look risky punts at shorter prices.

Lampard is also something of an FA Cup specialist. Since the start of the 2006-07 competition he has scored more goals than anybody else in the country (19). A big match player who will take any penalty that comes his side’s way, he looks a great shout to score in the course of 90 minutes at best odds of 7/2 with Sportingbet.
