FA Cup Betting: City and United share Favouritism

It's 9/2 for an all Manchester final after City strolled into the last eight.

Bookmakers make City and United joint favourites for the FA Cup after the blue half of Manchester cheered their side to a comprehensive 3-0 win over Aston Villa.

Having been on a run of good form most Villa fans and certainly our football tipster, were disappointed to see the team Gerard Houllier sent out. With star players Ashley Young and Stewart Downing on the bench, it was surprising how easily Houilier gave up on Villa’s last chance of silverware. Perhaps more baffling was the fact he brought them on when 3-0 down, with the game effectively over.

Mancini’s reward is a home tie against Reading in the quarter-finals, the only team left in the competition from outside the Premier League.

At the Emirates, Arsenal strolled to a 5-0 victory over Leyton Orient to set up a tie with Manchester United. With two games still to go and despite the random draw of a semi-final, William Hill are betting 9/2 that the FA Cup is an all Manchester final.
