Finished 11 points behind Spain in their qualifying group, edging out Scotland for the runners-up spot. The Czechs then beat Montenegro 3-0 on aggregate in the play-offs to reach the finals. Suffice to say they have benefited from a kind fixture list on their way to the finals.
A counter-attacking side, they are difficult to breakdown, conceding only 8 goals during qualifying. Head coach Michal Bilek will be heartened by the return to form of key players Petr Cech and Tomas Rosicky.
