England v Ukraine Tip

England rarely fail to score but Ukraine carry enough of a goal threat to worry a side missing a key centre-back.

England host Ukraine on Tuesday in a rematch of their Euro 2012 encounter. Roy Hodgson will expect continued progress from his team but they face a youthful Ukraine side, looking to make a name for themselves after the retirement of Andriy Shevchenko.

The likes of Andriy Yarmolenko, Yevhen Konoplyanka and Roman Zozulya, all aged 22, have goal scoring qualities to go with youthful exuberance and pose a threat to an England side short in the betting.

What we can expect from England is a goal. They have scored in 17 of their last 18 games, with the Euro 2012 quarter-final versus Italy the first time they drew a blank since October 2010.

Ukraine themselves are no strangers to finding the net, having scored in 13 out of their last 20 games. They are also leaky defensively having conceded in 15 of those matches.

We have a game where England are almost certain to score and that should bring Ukraine out of their shell. John Terry is missing for the home side and whatever people’s opinion of the Chelsea captain, his absence is a disruption to the back four.

With the outcome of the match difficult to predict the value is on both sides to score at 11/8 with Boylesports.
