England v Poland Tip

Sticking with the bet that paid off on Friday because doubts about Joe Hart keeping clean sheets persist for now.

For England fans the alarm bells should be ringing. After the comfortable 4-1 success over Montenegro on Friday, the nation suddenly expects the Three Lions to cruise past Poland on Tuesday, and that’s almost always a dangerous mindset for this team.

The visitors will arrive at Wembley without pressure (they can no longer qualify) but eager to please the 18,000 Polish fans expected to attend. It could be the final match in charge for coach Waldemar Fornalik and he is keen to go out and attack his illustrious opponents. All this creates a dangerous cocktail.

I said on Friday that I thought England would win but concede, which they duly did, and I can’t see any reason to desert that tip here when still offered up at best odds of 5/2 with Coral.

The Poles have so far scored more goals in qualifying (18) than Montenegro and hold greater individual threats. We all know what a danger Robert Lewandowski can be and his Dortmund team-mate Jakub Blaszczykowski, the captain, is also always a menace from wide areas.
