England Stutter Towards Qualification
England are 1/40 to qualify but Montenegro still have a say.
England remain on course for Poland and Ukraine but rode their luck to beat Wales one-nil at Wembley. Ashley Young’s goal on 35 minutes proved decisive but matters could have been different if Robert Earnshaw hadn’t missed with the goal at his mercy.
The bookmaker’s are confident the group is now won, with Fabio Capello’s team 1/40 to top group G. It is worth remembering that qualification is still in Montenegro’s hands. They need to win their remaining two games and are 25/1 with Victor Chandler to finish above England.
