England 33/1 for World Cup Glory

For once, feet are being kept on the ground with the Three Lions a lengthy price to conquer all in Brazil.

Despite the relief and general satisfaction felt by England’s qualification for Brazil 2014, expectations are being kept in check with Roy Hodgson’s boys currently quoted way out at 33/1 (Betfred) to win the next World Cup.

The hosts inevitably head the market at 10/3 (WilliamHill) with Germany looking to become the first European nation to triumph outside of this continent at 5/1 (Boylesports).

Lionel Messi’s Argentina find themselves pitched in the same bracket, again at 5/1 (Skybet). Reigning champions Spain are 13/2 with Boylesports.

The new contenders on the block are Belgium (14/1 Betfred) who have never seriously competed for a major tournament before but suddenly have the world’s attention with the array of talent at their disposal.
