Dortmund 25/1 for Champions League

The German champions played the English champions off the park but were somehow denied victory on Wednesday night.

Borussia Dortmund produced a scintillating display of attacking football only to be denied by a dubious late Mario Balotelli penalty in a 1-1 draw with Manchester City on Wednesday night.

The bookies were impressed with what they saw as every major firm cut the German champions in the betting for the Champions League. Jurgen Klopp’s side are now a best price 25/1 (PaddyPower) to go all the way this season.

Dortmund had 18 shots on goal as the hosts led a charmed life with Joe Hart having an outstanding game to keep City in with a chance.  Roberto Mancini’s side have drifted to a best price 20/1 (Bet365) as qualification for the knockout phases looks like a mighty challenge in itself.
