Brighton v Watford Tip

The Hornets have plenty of sting and should get properly back into the promotion hunt on Monday.

Brighton can’t really justify their marginal favouritism (17/10 Bet365), even with home advantage, and should be opposed for this Monday night clash.

Watford are a best price 9/5 (Boylesports) to take three points at the Amex Stadium and given their firepower, they should prevail. The Hornets have the best goals per game ratio in the Championship (2.00) whereas the Seagulls have mustered just 0.92 goals per fixture.

Admittedly Zola’s men have been frustratingly inconsistent as of yet but the encouraging side of that is they never seem to get stuck in a rut. Every time they slip up they seem to come back with a triumph; that bodes well after a 3-2 loss to Derby last time out.

The situation looks altogether more bleak for Brighton who have never recovered from the departure of Gus Poyet. Under Oscar Garcia they are currently 16th and the last four results have been poor. Defeats to Ipswich and Forest along with draws with lowly Wednesday and Yeovil represents relegation form.

With the team news also favouring the visitors, Watford should climb up to 4th in the table with a win here.
