Bruised In Brugge

Porto beat Roma 3-0 in Italy in CL qualifying. They are a class above opponents who have already lost 0-3 and 4-0 in Group G.

Despite Leicester and Copenhagen leading the way, there is still a case to be made for Porto being the class act in Group G.

On Tuesday night they could make their move by becoming the third Champions League team to beat Club Brugge by three goals or more. Porto are a healthy best price 11/2 (PaddyPower) in the -2 handicap market.

That looks generous when you consider that the Belgians lost 0-3 at home to Leicester and then 4-0 in Copenhagen.

That poor form has continued domestically where last year’s Pro League winners currently languish in 6th spot after another defeat on Friday night.

Compare that to Porto who are challenging for the Primeira Liga once again and arrive off the back of consecutive 4-0 and 3-0 away victories.

The stage is set for another convincing away win as the hosts are forced to go on the offensive, probably leaving themselves exposed.
