Champions League Betting: United Stutter
Man United again failed to impressed but avoided defeat. Whereas defeat for Inter Milan, leaves the holders as long shots to retain their title.
Man United are out to 8/1 to win the Champions League after a drab 0-0 draw in Marseille. It was a game with very few chances and even less entertainment, but produced a result that would satisfy both managers.
William Hill judged the result to be the worst of the four English teams and have pushed United out to 9/4 (from 15/8) to progress the furthest of the quartet. Chelsea still looked best placed to progress and are 6/5 favourites.
In the other game a 90th minute calamity from Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar gifted Bayern Munich a 1-0 away win. Last year’s Champions are now 50/1 to retain their title.
