Braga v Man United Tip

The Red Devils head to a ground known as 'the Quarry' tonight and one man in particular could put them in a hole.

“The game in Braga will give me a chance to utilise my squad. I’ll be making some changes.” When Sir Alex Ferguson says this, from a betting perspective, he has my full attention.

The Portuguese caused Manchester United enough trouble at Old Trafford when racing into an early 2-0 lead courtesy of a brace from their Brazilian star Alan - at a best price of 10/1 (Bet365) he is hard to resist in the first goalscorer market.

The 33-year-old can play as a winger or a forward and is in a rich vein of form for Braga. Alan helped to kickstart his club’s Champions League campaign in Galatasaray with a late strike before he tripled his tally at the Theatre of Dreams.

The cherry on top is that Alan takes his side’s penalties. His spot-kick defeated Liverpool in the Europa League last year and he also scored from 12 yards in the Primeira Liga as recently as Saturday.

At double figure odds we have more than enough form and history on our side to make this a good value bet.
