Windsor Tip: We Have A Dream

Well drawn and the recent rain will help his cause.

The 7.30 at Windsor is a competitive sprint handicap where the favourite must be resisted. New Leyf heads the market at 4/1, considering he has only won once in 15 attempts on turf, he has to be opposed.

The traditional Windsor draw bias has again been apparent this season. Several horses have been able to make all along the stand’s rail from box one. It is a stall that wins 3 times more often than it should and We Have A Dream can benefit from this trend.

A prominent runner, he has the pace to make the most of his good draw and the ease in the ground has come at the right time. After a productive 2009 season, the handicapper held sway for most of last season with a rating in the high 80s proving beyond the horse. Now off a mark of 81, and dropped into a class four race, he should find life easier.

When racing in class 4s over six furlongs with conditions good or softer his record is: 31211. This improves to 11 with jockey Martin Dwyer on board. With ideal conditions the 20/1 available looks like a steal.
