Abu Dhabi GP Tip: Felipe Massa

Beware of the jilted driver who has finished in the top-6 in half of his GP this season.

After eight years of loyal service Felipe Massa isn’t going to leave Ferrari quietly. If ignoring team orders in Japan wasn’t enough in India he finished ahead of his teammate for the first time all season.

With the championship gone, there is little for Ferrari or Alonso to play for but without a seat in 2014, Massa has plenty at stake.

The prospect of being without an F1 drive seems to have focused the mind of the 32-year-old and he is stringing together a series of good performances.

The bookmakers have been too quick to write off the Ferrari driver. He’s finished in the top-six in 8 out of 16 races this season and is overpriced at 13/8 (Paddy Power) to do so again in Abu Dhabi. Statistically he should be an even money-shot.
