Too Soon For Robson

The British favourite lost 6-0 6-1 in her only match for 18 months in Eastbourne.

Laura Robson may be the darling of British women’s tennis but her participation at Wimbledon needs to be viewed with zero expectations.

Granted a wildcard, the 21-year-old will embark on only her second competitive match in 18 months following a serious wrist injury.

The Olympic Silver medallist finally returned to action at Eastbourne on June 20 and lost 6-0 6-1 to Daria Gavrilova.

Just glad to be back on court, Robson surely has next to no chance just 10 days later, and another Russian, Evgeniya Rodina looks well-priced at 6/5 (PaddyPower) to win in straight sets.
