Williams v Kuznetsova Tip

Serena is only losing 2.5 games per match on average so far in Paris.

In 2009 Svetlana Kuznetsova beat Serena Williams en route to the French Open title, but times are very different now.

The Russian hasn’t threatened success at any of the subsequent big tournaments, not advancing beyond the quarter-finals at any Grand Slam since. She is down to number 40 in the world rankings and frankly there is no reason to think she can handle the American star now.

Williams is on a career-best winning streak of 28 matches and has only lost 10 games in total at Roland Garros in the first four rounds. If she could beat 26th seed Cirstea 6-0 6-2 and 15th seed Vinci 6-1 6-3 then there’s little reason to suspect unseeded Kuznetsova will fare much better.

The underdog is 5/6 (PaddyPower) to win under 5.5 games in the match and on Serena’s form this looks close to a sure thing.
