Robredo v Murray Tip

Nadal and Federer were banished ruthlessly. We get a good price on Murray simply dropping a set against a better player.

In a week already dominated by upsets, Andy Murray won’t be taking anything for granted against Tommy Robredo - and rightly so. The canny Spaniard looks worth a look to win a set at best odds of 21/10 with PaddyPower.

Robredo actually leads the head-to-heads between the pair 3-2 even if the most recent meeting was in 2010. Although the 31-year-old favours clay, it is interesting to note that he also tasted success over a young Murray on the hard courts of Las Vegas in their first ever clash - a surface much closer to grass in terms of demands.

Of course the British number one should advance but I’m happy to take a price on the world number 29 avoiding a straight sets defeat. Robredo has made serene progress of his own so far and could ask some questions of the Centre Court favourite.
