Novak And Rafa Poised To Dominate in Melbourne

The top two players in the world should be in a league of their own with Murray rusty after back surgery.

There’s probably no point in trying to be too clever with a winner tip for the Men’s Australian Open with the 4/5 (Skybet) available on Novak Djokovic pretty fair and at the same time relatively uninspiring.

The Serb deserves to be odds-on having won three championships on the bounce in Melbourne and four overall. It is his best Slam and it’s hard to think of many players who could stop him.

Of the long established ‘Big Four,’ Andy Murray (10/1 Ladbrokes) is woefully short of match practice following back surgery while Roger Federer (22/1 Boylesports) seems to be edging closer to retirement.

Only world number one Rafa Nadal (10/3 StanJames) looks like a genuine rival to Djokovic at this moment in time. The smart money is taking the best price 2/1 (Betfred) on the top two making the final. That way, we can win whoever claims the decider.
