Murray 6/1 for Wimbledon after Queen's Triumph

Murray will be confident ahead of Wimbledon

The British number one came from a set down to win the Aegon Championships title.

Andy Murray claimed his second title at Queen’s Club in three years, defeating Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 3-6 7-6 (7-2) 6-4 on Monday afternoon. The final, delayed a day due to awful weather, looked to be heading the way of the Frenchman after he broke the Murray serve for a 4-2 lead that he duly held on to in the opener. The second set was a tight affair, although the tie-break itself was one-way traffic with the Scot finally finding his rhythm.

That proved to be the crucial phase of the match with the momentum carried through to the deciding set when Murray broke serve at 2-2. Tsonga appeared to run out of steam but his efforts in beating Nadal and running Murray close have won him many admirers and the attention of the bookmakers. The 26-year-old from Le Mans is now sixth favourite for Wimbledon at 40/1 with Boylesports. Those long odds for one of the leading contenders suggests only four players are seen to have a realistic chance of ultimate glory at the All-England club. Murray is one of those, at a best price of 6/1 with totesport.
