Men's Wimbledon: Winning Quarter Tip

Between them, Federer (7) and Nadal (2) have won 9 of the last 10 Wimbledon titles. The unusual seeding this year has thrown up a quirky piece of value in a minor market.

As is often the case, you can find a sneaky bit of value for Wimbledon by hunting around the minor betting markets. This time it comes from picking which quarter of the draw the winner of the men’s singles will come from.

Main contenders and their quarters:

Novak Djokovic - 1st Quarter
David Ferrer - 2nd Quarter
Rafa Nadal & Roger Federer - 3rd Quarter
Andy Murray - 4th Quarter

With the bookies convinced that Djokovic is going to go all the way, Quarter 1 is the big favourite (11/10 Bet365) to produce the winner with all other sections rated as big outsiders.

Skybet are currently somewhat out on a limb by suggesting that it’s a 6/1 shot that the winner will come from the 3rd quarter - the section featuring both Nadal and Federer.

Given that the Swiss and Spanish stars have won nine of the last ten Wimbledon titles between them, this looks like an absolute bargain.

*Skybet are out of line with other bookmakers in this market and might have made an error in their pricing. There is a danger the bet will be voided or settled at a different price, therefore factor this risk into your bet.
