Djokovic v Nadal Tip 1

The match many are regarding as the 'real final' and it should be one for the scrapbook.

Having backed Nadal from the start, I’m not going to switch sides when we get to the semi-finals. The Spaniard’s record at Roland Garros is too spectacular - he has won a spellbinding 57 of 58 matches in Paris.

The question for me is how close will a hugely determined Novak Djokovic run his opponent? I can only imagine the answer being very close. Nadal is a best price 10/3 (Bet365) to win 3-1 and 6/1 (StanJames) to take it 3-2. I suggest splitting your stake evenly between these two possibilities.

The history books show that these two have met five times in Grand Slams since 2010 and each of those clashes has gone to at least four sets. It’s just inconceivable that one of these titans will be whitewashed.

Nadal leads 13-3 in the clay head-to-heads so I’ll take the reigning champion to win another classic on Friday.
