Djokovic and Nadal On the Ropes

Ferrer has beaten Murray and Djokovic in London

The top two players in the world are currently finding London's O2 Arena to be rather inhospitable.

David Ferrer is proving the surprise package of the ATP World Tour Finals in London after demolishing Novak Djokovic 6-3 6-1 at the O2 Arena in little over an hour. The Spaniard is 10/1 (VictorChandler) for the title having booked his spot in the semi-finals with a match to spare.

Concerns over Djokovic’s well-being appear to have been justified. The world number one said: “It was the worst match I’ve played this season so far with so many unforced errors.” The Serbian - now 10/1 with SportingBet - could still turn it around with a Group A showdown against fellow-countryman Janko Tipsarevic to come on Friday. The world number nine stepped in after Andy Murray was forced to withdraw through injury.

Roger Federer is very much the man to beat following his awe-inspiring 6-3 6-0 destruction of Rafa Nadal. The Swiss 30-year-old rolled back the years and is now just 8/15 (Boylesports) to win another end-of-season crown. French Open champion Nadal (12/1 VictorChandler) battles it on with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga on Thursday for the one remaining semi-final berth to come from Group B.

So far have expectations fallen for the Spanish world number two that the world number six begins their round-robin decider as favourite. Nadal is a best price 5/4 (Coral) with Tsonga 8/11 with Ladbrokes.
