ATP World Tour Finals: Latest Betting

A great sporting rivalry continues

On Tuesday we find out how strong Federer and Nadal really are when they renew their rivalry.

Andy Murray suffered an immediate setback at the World Tour Finals, losing his opening match to David Ferrer 6-4 7-5. He then declared that injury could force him out of further participation in the London event. The world number three has eased to a best price of 16/1 (Boylesports) to turn it all around and take the crown on Sunday. The Scot will decide on Tuesday whether his groin problem will force his withdrawal; he is scheduled to meet Tomas Berdych (18/1 Boylesports) on Wednesday.

In the other Group A clash Novak Djokovic survived a first set loss and a match point before winning 3-6 6-3 7-6 (7-3) against Berdych. The star of 2011 looked rusty at the outset, but ultimately went a long way to proving his fitness and desire are right where they need to be. The struggles of Murray have seen the Serb come into 11/4 (Sportingbet) in the tournament odds.

On Tuesday all eyes will be on the the evening clash between two of the game’s titans. Roger Federer is 4/9 (Coral) to win the Group B clash and 7/5 (Boylesports) in the overall betting. He faces a supposedly out-of-sorts Rafa Nadal, who hadn’t played a match since 13 October until he edged out Mardy Fish on Sunday. With the Spaniard also suffering from a stomach upset, he is unfancied to beat his old nemesis at 15/8 with PaddyPower. If he does triumph though, expect those title odds of 11/2 (Skybet) to rocket in swiftly.
