Heineken Cup Rugby Betting

Irish and French teams dominate the betting as we enter the second half of the group stages.

We are now halfway through the group stages of the Heineken Cup with every team having played each other once. In the outright betting the bookmakers can’t split Toulouse (10/3 with Paddy Power) and Leinster (10/3 with Skybet). Both are unbeaten in the tournament along with Munster (9/1 with Sportingbet) and Cardiff (14/1 with Paddy Power).

After a miserable World Cup, the Heineken Cup is bringing little cheer for English supporters. Premiership champions Saracens are best placed to make the quarter-finals and are 10/1 (Betfred) in the betting; those odds looks plenty short enough with a game at the Ospreys to come. With one loss already, any further slip-ups will probably see them playing away from home if they reach the last eight.

An Irish team are 7/4 (Coral) to win the tournament with a French side 15/8 (Paddy Power).
