York Tips: Mass Rally
Application of a hood has given him the edge in recent races and he handles soft conditions.
After running some excellent races this season, Mass Rally got a long overdue win in the Ayr Silver Cup and I think he can go on and win the 3.45 York.
Despite finishing his races strongly, there has been a question mark over his attitude but the fitting of a hood seems to have solved the problem.
His win at Ayr was mightily impressive and achieved in a good time. He relishes the strong pace generated by these big field sprints and although he can find trouble in running, he has a potent turn of foot.
The soft ground at York will mean the pack comes back to him at the end of the race. At 5/1 (William Hill) the only horse that can beat him is himself.
