York Tips: Judge’N’Jury

Last run forgiven because of the ground. Course and distance win two starts ago makes him major player.

Victorious at the track two run ago, Judge’N’Jury should return to winning ways in the 4.10 York.

During a disappointing 2011, trainer Ron Harris discovered the horse was having trouble with his breathing. Having operated on the problem, he then struggled to find his form at the end of the season. The winter break however seems to have worked wonders. He finished second on his seasonal reappearance before taking a competitive York sprint in May.

He flopped when fancied for the Dash at Epsom on Derby day, but that can be excused because of the ground. He is 1/16 on going described as good to firm and everything was happening too quickly for him.

Overnight rain at York has changed the going to good to soft, the ideal conditions. A winner off 105 in his prime, he doesn’t look badly handicapped on a mark of 93. At 12/1 (William Hill) he is overpriced.
