Holds a Gimcrack entry but connections rightly exploiting generous handicap mark of 81. Ran better than his rating last time out.
Savalas holds a Gimcrack entry on Saturday but it’s no suprise connections have opted for the handicap route with a rating of 81. There is a good chance the handicapper has underestimated his ability because last time out I gave him an adjusted speed rating of 91.
That speed rating might seem a little generous given the form hasn’t been franked but Savalas clocked the fastest closing sectional of the race by 0.29s and the first two came well clear of the third horse.
Kevin Ryan’s colt handles cut if the forecast rain materialises and his running style is suited to coming off a strong pace.
