York Tip: Entitled

An exciting, lightly raced sprinter. Has won over course and distance and plenty more to come.

With the pace horses drawn in the middle I expect the field to form an arrowhead down the centre. If the race goes to plan then there should be no draw bias in the 3.40 at York – the Skybet Dash.

That is good news for our selection Entitled, who is drawn in 19, and shouldn’t be disadvantaged. Having only her third race over a sprint distance, Sir Michael Stoute has an exciting prospect on his hands.

She won impressively over course and distance in June, slicing through the field to come from last. Nothing went right next time out, from a high draw she was forced to the back. Then when making her move she had to come four wide; under the circumstances she did well to get within 1.5 lengths of the winner.

The strong pace should set the race up for a hold up horse like Entitled. She has already run fast times at six furlongs and looks unexposed. Racing off a mark of 87, she looks to be at least 10lbs better than her official mark.
