York Tip: Eland Ally

Should have won last time out and this strong traveller will enjoy the furious gallop.

There are at least six prominent runners in the 2.20 at York ensuring it will be run at a fierce gallop. Looking through the field for a horse to come from off the pace, Eland Ally fits the bill.

Last time out he finished second behind Haajes but I expect him to turn around the form. Richard Hughes didn’t give him the best of rides, allowing Haajes to get first run on him, despite Eland Ally travelling well. The ground he gave up was too much, failing to reel him in by three-quarters of a length.

Trainer Tom Tate is in sparkling form with four winners from his last six runners. He looks to have another winner in waiting with this horse. At 7/1 with Bet365 he rates a good bet.
