York Tips: Silvanus
Ran well over course and distance on his last outing and a big price considering he drops down in grade.
I am surprised that Silvanus is considered an outsider for the 4.10 York because on my speed ratings I have him as one of the favourites.
Last time out he was only beaten three lengths in a class 2 handicap over course and distance. He has been dropped 2lbs since that run, but if anything his performance deserves upgrading as he chased a very strong pace.
His defeat at Chester can be ignored because of a poor draw, but prior to that, he was a close third at Epsom back in April.
With the majority of the pace drawn high, he should get a decent tow into the race and looks overpriced at 20/1 (Paddy Power).
