Wolverhamptontip: Gulliver
Race didn't go to plan at Lingfield from a wide draw. Finished third with a 21.64s closing sectional and comes out top on with an adjusted speed rating of 88. Should win from better draw.
Five of today’s field met at Lingfield nine days ago and although Gulliver finished third, he was the unlucky horse but probably the best on the day. From stall 8, he had to conceded ground at the start and that ultimately made the difference.
Alsvinder was able to set a steady gallop and hold enough in reserve, to quicken in the final 2f. Gulliver had to come from a long way back but nothing was finishing faster and his closing sectional of 21.64s was the quickest in the race and impressive in absolute terms.
Adjusting for sectionals Gulliver comes out on top (speed rating of 88) and from a better draw he should win.
