Wolverhampton Tip: Independence Day

Independence Day was a very good horse early into his career but unfortunately he is no resigned to the role of a ‘plot’ horse. He landed a gamble when winning at Chelmsford in March and should be up to winning bad races.

Now with Paul Howling he shaped with promise at Lingfield last time out. He quickened well from off the pace to finish third, not helped by his wide draw. That was over a steadily run 5f and a step up in trip makes sense given the way he closed out the race.
