Wolverhampton Tip: Gift In Time
Wiped out by unruly horse at the start last time but made up 5 lengths on the winner in the final two furlongs. Unlucky.
The 5.20 Wolverhampton looks a two-horse race according to the betting but we shouldn’t rule out the chances of Gift In Time. Since being gelded his record is 13 and he was desperately unlucky last time out.
From the gate he was badly hampered, the filly drawn on his inside veered right almost wiping him out. Relegated to the rear his race was ruined but he still managed to make up 5 lenghts on the winner in the last two furlongs. He was the fastest closer by 0.42s and you have to assume he would have gone close to winning given a fair start.
