Wolverhampton Tip: Gamesome
Has a poor strike rate (1-33) but unexposed on all-weather. Hampered by a poor draw at Newcastle two starts back and has slipped to a mark where he can win.
Midnightly is the obvious favourite given his recent winning form and he’s probably still ahead of his mark but there isn’t much value in his price especially with some unknowns in the field.
The difficulty when analysing this race arises from several horses making their seasonal reappearances. It’s hard to know what shape they will be in with six horses returning from 100+ days off but i’m going to chance one of them.
Gamesome has a wretched strike rate of 1-33 but he’s off a career low mark and eventually will find a level he can win at again. When last seen on the all-weather he finished fifth at Newcastle and wasn’t beaten far. It was a run that needs upgrading because he did best of those drawn low with the action coming up the centre of the track. He is unexposed on the all-weather and should win a race soon.
