Wolverhampton Tip: Fleckerl

Wolverhampton Tip: Fleckerl

Placed on his last two tried over course and distance, ignore his Chelmsford run as the track doesn’t suit.

Opportunities on the all-weather are going to be few and far between over the coming months and although conditions aren’t ideal for Fleckerl in the 5.50 Wolverhampton I can see why connections are running him here.

He’s finished second and third on his last two starts over course and distance, running fast closing sectionals both times and although that is very much his running style it might pay dividends this evening.

The 5.50 contest is an apprentice race and judging pace is one of the hardest things for a jockey. It therefore follows that we are more likely to get a sub-optimal pace scenario in a race with inexperienced pilots. This will help Fleckerl who can get detached early and needs the leaders to come back to him.

Last time out he ran poorly at Chelmsford but his record at the Essex venue is 6688 and he can bounce back with a big run at Wolverhampton.
