Wolverhampton: Shades Of Summer
Showed potential when trying to chase down Annaf on her debut, letting the winner get first run and cede racecourse experience. Returned from long break to finish second at Windsor.
Shades Of Summer shaped with promise when on debut she tried to chase down the useful Annaf at Newcastle. She clocked a fast closing sectional despite the winner have two runs on his belt heading into the contest.
James Tate’s filly wasn’t seen all summer but returned from a 199 day layoff to finish a clear second at Windsor, when the sixth furlong plus a lack of race fitness probably cost her the race.
She is well draw, handles an artificial surface and can convert her early promise into a win.
