Worked himself down a sensible handicap mark and 5f is his trip. Fastest closer when second behind Good Effort at Lingfield and should get a strong pace to aim at.
I’m comfortable opposing the top two in the market for the 6.00 Wolverhampton. Both are running well but they are no better than anything else in this field, they’ve just shown their hand.
Royal Birth is a regular winner on the all-weather and 5f is his optimal trip. The handicapper is also relenting, with a mark of 95 workable considering he’s won off 100 previously and 99 when tasting success last September.
It’s been a while between drinks but there’s nothing wrong with his form and he was a fine second behind Good Effort at Lingfield last time. He was the fastest closer in a race where it suited to be on the pace.
