Wolverhampton: Great State
Clocked an excellent speed rating on debut despite greeness and being denied a clear run. Seemed to be getting the better of So Many Questions but line came to soon.
After a brief hiatus the all-weather is back and the 4.50 Wolverhampton is a facinating race. I see it (like the market) as a match between Great State and So Many Questions and i’ve come down on the side of the former.
He got behind early on, probably due to greeness but the further the race went on the better he looked and he would have overhauled So Many Questions in another stride. Both horses clocked excellent speed ratings in defeat and neither had a clear passage. However, of the pair Great State looks to have more upside but the more cautious might want to play the ‘without’ markets.
