Wolverhampton: Four Mile Bridge

Josephine Gordon tried to get prominent position from stall 11 but ended up being posted 4-wide for most of the race. Covered more ground than anything else but only beaten half a length.

Backing a 17-start maiden to win their first race might the fast track to the poor house but I believe there is a genuine reason why Four Mile Bridge can break his duck in the 5.50 Wolverhampton.

Last time out, Josephine Gordon tried to get a prominent position from stall 11 but failed an ended up being posted 4-wide for almost the entire race. We don’t have the data telling us how much ground Four Mile Bridge actually covered but it is safe to assume it was a lot more than 1m1f104yds.

When that normally happens you see the horse fade at the finish but Four Mile Bridge was coming back for more and was only beaten half a length. Given an easier trip i’m fairly sure he would have won and that makes him a great bet running in the same grade from a better draw.
