Wolverhampton: Eye Of The Water
Very little to be excited by in this race and consistency of the favourite can be rewarded. Clocked a good speed figure last time over 7f but better over 6f, where 4/5 career wins have come.
Lots of out of form horses are running in the 7.45 Wolverhampton and the consistency shown by Eye Of The Water can be rewarded. He’s not been outside the top-4 in any race since early July and although that would usually result in an unmoving handicap mark, he races off 73 this evening. That is a couple of pounds lower than recent efforts at Wolverhampton and much lower than his turf mark.
Last time out he ran a good speed rating of 68 when fourth behind Amniarix over 7f but he is arguably even better over 6f as that is where four of his five career wins have come. He should run a good race.
