Windsor Tips: Tropics
Finished first and second on his last two starts at Windsor and is a progressive sprinter.
48 hours ago I was very sweet on the chances of Rex Imperator but just like at Royal Ascot he has been scuppered by the rain. The chances of genuinely good to firm ground look remote and it makes sense to back something less ground dependant.
Tropics has finished first and second on his last couple of starts at Windsor and he should run a big race back at his favourite track.
Last time out he was slightly unlucky to finish behind Khubala who got a dream run up the inside whilst Kieren Fallon had to make his challenge out wide. With a better draw and/or a stronger pace I fancy Tropics would have won. Regardless, Khubala finished fourth in the Wokingham on his next start and franked the form.
Having only his eighth career start, I think there is plenty more to come from Tropics and at 4/1 (Betfred) he looks the best bet.
