Windsor Tips: Taurus Twins

Has the early pace to make the most of Windsor's traditional draw bias.

It is the first meeting of the season at Windsor but it is worth taking a chance on the old draw bias existing in the 5.00.

At 5f, the stand’s rail is the best place to be. Over the last five years stall 1 has won twice as often as it should, with stalls 2&3 also advantageous. Although Taurus Twins starts from stall 4, a non-runner inside him makes it the equivalent of stall 3. Most importantly, he has the early pace to grab the stand’s rail.

Around this time last year, Taurus Twin won over course and distance, employing his usual front running tactics. He has gone up the handicap since, but finished second and third off the same mark last September.

I think the horse can win off his current mark before he is forced up in grade. With the eye-catching booking of Silvestre De Sousa, I am confident it will be today. At 12/1 (Boylesports) he rates a cracking bet.
